  • Verified errors are corrected and the modified date is updated.

Supporting evidence

Correction lifecycle

The three source-supported stages from a reader report to the published record.

  1. 01ReportURL, disputed text, reason, and primary evidence
  2. 02AssessmentPage, evidence, claim ledger, and publication history
  3. 03RecordCorrection, modified date, and material note where needed

No response or correction deadline is promised.

Report an issue

Include the page URL, disputed text, why it appears wrong, and any primary source that supports the report. Security issues should use the security contact process rather than a public correction request.

Assessment and response

The content owner reviews the current page, source evidence, claim ledger, and publication history. Minor spelling changes do not create a correction notice. Material product, pricing, permission, legal, or competitor errors do.

Correction record

A material correction describes what changed without repeating sensitive information, records the correction date, and updates structured modified dates. A page is removed or redirected when it can no longer be kept accurate.
